Hmmm..... Here in Naples FL where we are now there are public buses running most of the time. Bus stops every two block or so. I don't use them, but I see them all the time when I walk. They even have bike racks on the front so you could ride to the bus stop and take your bike along to your destination.
However, in Murrells Inlet, where we will be in a couple days, I really don't remember seeing any public buses. Perhaps they run up in Myrtle Beach proper, but I can't remember seeing a bus, other than a school bus, south of the Airport.

Thanks for responding. Among others, there's a bus running from Conway to MB, mostly down the 501. It looks like it stops only every couple of miles, and I can't see safe place for it to stop along the 501. Furthermore, there could be 3 hours between scheduled runs. So I am not sure how useful the buses would be to an older person. Frankly, I was hoping for better service.
Thanks for responding. Do you happen to know if there are stops in between the "timed points" on the schedules? If not, the buses are not useful to me. I especially wanted the C7 route up and down the 501, and there seem to be no safe place for a bus to stop.
