Mca - I am a little baffled that you couldn't find Myrtle Beach International Airport through simple internet search of "Myrtle Beach airport". MYR has been around forever and is in the heart of the MB area.

With that said, understand that for 9 of 12 months per year, MB is a highly sought after vacation spot. Spring and fall are peak golf season, while summer months are family beach time. Flying into MB is going to cost significantly more than other, reasonably close, airports. I have found that flying to Charlotte (CLT) or Raleigh (RDU), both 3 hours away, are significantly cheaper. Spirit Air, who I don't particularly care for, does fly in and out of MYR from many locations, and are priced competitively. With Spirit, don't be totally fooled by the low ticketing prices. Want to check a bag- $$$. Want to pick your seat - $$$. It adds up.

I recommend using a flight search website, such as Kayak, to look for flights from your area to the many airports that are within driving distance to MB. These sites are the quickest ways to search most airlines prices and schedules.

As for flying to / from MB to PHX. Spring is always the most expensive time to fly to PHX. Airfares are easily double or triple what they are in the summer time. Combine that with the peak golf season in MB, and you will get some pretty expensive flights to popular spring time destinations.

Good luck.
