We have vacationed in myrtle beach many times but not sure what it is like to live there. I am open to any response on living conditions in any city in Carolina's. Love the ocean and mountains. Where do we move too??????? How many months is it decent weather like nice not hot. We r from michigan as you probably gathered from my username. Thanks for any and all conversation.

Hello, from a former Michigan resident. I suspect the lack of responses is due to the vague description of what you're looking for. "Any city in the Carolinas" covers so much it'd be very difficult to give a response to. You should narrow down your areas to a handful of cities and then proceed. What are your needs? Jobs, lakes or ocean, good shopping, good schools and so on. There are numerous past threads asking what you are, explore this forum and any other forum in the Carolinas to help you.

If MB is your choice, there are several sections of town that are very good for families, we're in one now. But again, study the many threads on this forum and you'll get lots of info.

I think that she is attempting to convey the idea that she would like a temperate climate that is not cold but also does not get too hot. At least that's what I got out of it, but I could be wrong.

That would be the climate of Southern California.

We chose the Beaufort area in SC. Quaint downtown area, beautiful antebellum homes, and lots of history to the area. Beaufort is centered between Savannah and Charleston so an easy day trip from either city. We live on a barrier island on the ocean, so temps in the summer are not that bad. As we always get a nice ocean breeze which helps a lot. Winters are mild, lows during the day in the 50's. Though this winter, you in the North shared some of that colder weather with us and we had days in the 40's. I love the community, slower pace of life (not as hectic as MB or Hilton Head) and would highly recommend a trip down.
