Sorry if it is a silly question but I wonder since we have been in Myrtle Beach in almost all months and the last time we came down for Valentines Day the wind never stopped. Of course we were stating oceanside and did not think to check if that wind heads into the neighborhoods towards Conway etc.

No, the ocean breeze doesn't go any further than a couple hundred feet off the ocean but the ocean breeze does have a massive impact on local weather.
To give you a few examples, the ocean breeze can keep the rain off the beach when it is raining one or two blocks inland.
The ocean breeze keeps the air temps warmer in the winter when the air temp drops below the ocean temp.
