I'm on a tight budget, what's the cheapest way to move my stuff to Myrtle Beach? Moving van? Pods? Uhaul?
What did you use? We are three women, and lugging furniture is a chore! Is it cheaper to buy everything when we get there? Please help!
When we moved here last year from Mass we used a national company and paid about $3500. We moved from a large house but did get rid of tons of stuff beforehand. We felt it was worth the expense since we had many family items we wanted to retain. My son recently moved from California to Denver and found moving companies that would have moved his small apartment worth of furniture for about $1200. After all was considered he elected to sell all his furniture and buy new when he relocated. I would vote for that option if you aren't tied to your furnishings.
thank you very much for your insight! We hope to get rid of alot of stuff before the move. We are a grandmother (me) daughter, and grandaughter, so we all have stuff we can't bear to part with. I thought a uhaul might be the best way to go, but need to find a driver!!
What part of MB did you move to? We haven't bought a house yet, and am considering Conway, Little River, and Longs. We want privacy, but to be close to shops and town.
upack via abf freight is what we used in the past. fantastic service and you can use the calender on their site to find the lowest cost day to move during the month

Many people say they 'wished' they had just sold their things and started new, including us.
We used Mayflower and the cost was 5 thousand from Pa.
We didn't even take our living room furniture, or our dining set. We didn't take the kitchen table and chairs either. But with boxes and all the hubby's tools that came to a bundle.
I found the pods to be too small. I'd of used four at least.
Packing is tough in itself no less carrying the boxes into a van, truck or pod.
The happiest people are the ones that saved that money and sold it all back home.
