I am having a huge problem finding a place/agent who will consider renting to me. I have a set amount of guaranteed income each month. I am currently looking for work in addition to that income.
My target is a 3bdrm $800/mo or less.. or possibly $900 w/utilities.
Because my guaranteed income is not 3Xs that amount, most renters take one look at my application and say no.
When i first came here, I even offered to pay 3-4mo rent upfront on top of the deposit - no one would bite at that either.
I am hoping to stay close to NMB, but have been looking as far down as Charleston.
I have no evictions in my past. No convictions.
Any ideas on how to get around this?
Or perhaps someone knows of an agent who is not so particular about the 3Xs 'rule'?
