I was looking at homes near Whispering Pines Golf course but was curious to find out how much constant noise comes from the Airport. I'm aware that you will catch some noise but just how much? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Don't live there but that is as close as you can get to air traffic. I would plan on an increase in traffic as they recently added new flights. The planes would not be flying overhead for the most part they approach from the ocean side or from the river and takeoffs are similar so more of the noise would be closer to the highways. It might be a good idea to be there when flights are landing and taking off to experience how if affects the area for yourself since perceptions may be different.

Good Luck!

We live in Arrowhead (on the intercoastal end of the runway). The noise from commercial traffic is not too bad. Noise from the occasional military aircraft is VERY loud. As creekgirl4life says, the noise your neighborhood gets would be different than ours. Go to the neighborhood and spend a hour or so when flights are coming and going (check airport schedule) to see what the noise is like. I suspect it won't be too bad.
