Does anyone know where one can get information as far as the breakdown of true Southerners vs. transplants in MB, and also the origin of the transplants, as in Midwest vs. Northeast?
Thanks!

I am not sure such information exists, but it would be interesting to have stats on that. From my personal observation I would suspect that the transplants out number the natives. That being said I have met many transplants that are not from Myrtle Beach but are still Southerners (the accent gives them away ).
Thanks, Neecewh, that's what I figured the stats would show if there were any to be had. From what I read here on C-D, it seems that there won't be anyone left in some of the Northern states in a couple more decades, they will all be in MB or Charleston.
Most people I meet in MB are from somewhere else, not just the NE. If you go just as far as Conway, Longs, Loris...there are mostly natives to this area. I doubt everyone will leave the NE, most people I know up there won't even visit here let alone move here. They have no interest in this area and love where they live.
