How are Winters in Myrtle Beach? I guess what I mean is, is their a lot of people that still live there in the off season or does it get pretty empty?

Carolina Forest especially.

Everything does pretty much die down during winter. Carolina Forest is a very busy place though. The climate is very nice for winter which is why alot of people move here.

Carolina Forest is mostly filled with homeowners and not vacation properties. Winters, in my opinion, are the best times to be in Myrtle Beach. You can drive on the roads more easily, get into restaurants more easily and just have a generally better quality of life.

One downside is that the water parks, some mini golf courses and some restaurants close for the winter. After Christmas some of the shows also take a month or so off to prepare for the next season.

But overall, winter in MB is fantastic!

Yes, it is fantastic. Some winters you can walk around in short sleeve shorts while other people are having snow.

Winter, if you'd call it that, is one of the best things about living here..

Carolina Forest is, in fact, primarily made up of year round homeowner-residents. You'lll find that there is PLENTY to do during the off-season here. Locals begin to crawl out of the caves and get into the swing of things from Sept-March...Unless they happen to be like myself.. never slowing down..

It's really nice in the winter but actually it was nice in the spring, fall and has been a great summer! That's my favorite thing about SC, the weather. Even the days that they say rain, it almost always turns out to be sunny at some point.

It is Aug. 27th. that calendar is for 2006-2007 - you need the calendar for 2007-2008.

Here is a link for the Horry County schools, you will find everything you need on here.

HCS Home

Just go to calendars and you will find the 2007-2008 with all the dates they will have off.

I am looking forward to the winter here since we just got here in March. I will say it was cool on Easter - I am so looking forward to NO snow!
