If I were you-I'd find out what areas(for homes your looking into) that were affected back during Hugo. There's so many new people there that weren't there at that time when the hurricane came through-I'd find out if where your looking ended up underwater. Hugo's are rare and can flood areas that normally aren't affected. It's worth asking.
Carolina Forest didn't exist back then like it does now. It would be next to impossible to say what the damage would be. When we have a simple rain storm, the roads get flooded and theres even more accidents than normal (usually 1 or 2 daily). May we never see another Hugo.
