I am a music lover, and although I listen to lots of different types of music, my preference is the music from the Caribbean countries, which is saucy, hot, makes you feel like you can conquer the world, takes away your depression, if you have any, and makes you want to live ......!!!!!!

I do, but I lean more toward salsa clasica-style music and Cuban son music.
I'm not a musiCian so please excuse (and someone correct) my misuse of terms.
The seminal CD of salsa dura-styled music for me was Siguiendo la tradicion by Los soneros del barrio featuring singer Frankie Vasquez. From there, I was off to find more examples and learned that there was salsa and there was son. I also like cha-cha-cha and rumba guaguanco, though the latter i'm still trying to get used to.
