Looking for particular instrumental version of "12 Days...Christmas"
There is a sort of "Muzak"-y version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" that I have heard on the radio or in malls literally since the 1970s. It had been awhile, but I heard it yesterday (yes, already). I collect different versions of Christmas songs and would love to know who perfomrs this, but how do you find out the name of a song just from hearing it in a mall (etc) background music?
The best way I know to describe it is that every "verse" is played by a different instrument or cluster of instruments. The main part of it is mostly brass, but each different verse has its own "sound", e.g. "Seven Swans a Swmming" might be Frnch Horns while "Six Geese-a-Laying" would be woodwinds, or whatever.
As I say, I remember hearing this at least 35 years ago in the 1970s, so it's been out awhile, I just had not heard it lately until recently. Would love it if someone knows the performer! Thanks!
