Most directors with a body of work that size have. He's still considered a "top man," though.
As a director, I"m definitely a Spielberg fan. Hey, I even liked his WAR OF THE WORLDS. Me and three or four other people.
As a producer ... not so much. As a producer, Spielberg has gifted us with several Transformers movies, Men in Black III, Paul, etc. When Spielberg "produces" something I expect he sets up a few meeting and cashes checks and that's about it.

Well, yeah, that's how "Amblin Entertainment" works. He can't micromanage everything. Like Stephen King: "Cash a check" is exactly what he does every time they adapt one of his novels. He doesn't care what happens after he gets his money, and he says so.
But Blackhawk is something Spielberg first looked into making back in the '80s, so methinks this will be different.
The end of INFINITY WAR would be a perfect way to "reboot" the entire movieverse. With Chris Evans already saying he's done, Downey not getting any younger, the Hulk remaining ridiculous, it's probably not a bad time for a do-over.
So if Marvel is bringing the FF back to comics, I think it's a pretty safe bet there are movie plans in the works.
Affirmative. They're addressing the passive-aggressiveness they displayed a few years back when they ended the comic because they couldn't use the FF in the movies.
About as silly a move as ending The Amazing Spider-Man at #700. They should have kept it going so it eventually hit #1000, as Action Comics just did this week. A milestone.

That rumor has been floating around for a year or so now. Very sad. I always that she was adorable.
