That stretch is a freaking eyesore. In for a penny, in for a pound - now is the time to do it even with the extra expense. Maybe some of that billion dollar road bond can be put to use in Mon county.
Baby steps I suppose. I'm just glad they're finally getting the old poles out of the road. I think the tire shop is moving too so that will be another eyesore gone. It's so junky.

Agreed. Having utility poles next to the road looks trashy.

Agreed but it's not going to happen. It's not a walkable section of town, which is an incentive to bury them. And there aren't "nice" businesses up there. I mean the mileground consists of a BFS, some used car dealerships, some auto mechanics, etc. Spending the extra money to bury powerlines isn't going to change anything about the area. Now if the Mileground consisted of some high-end shopping or something, you may have a case to bury the lines.

Seems to be a lot of construction on Mile Ground. Is this the beginning of the widening project finally? I haven’t seen any news about it.

Anybody else feel like the potholes this winter are the worst you’ve ever seen? Pretty much every road is s***.

They finally patched the crater right at the Glenmark town center. Doesn’t look very good put but at least it’s passable.

There is a crator on Stewartstown Road near the Jerkpit that will annihilate any car that hits it. Beware.
