$8 million in new roadway and sidewalk construction will improve Maple Drive to support increased traffic flow between there and WV 705 due to the construction of 3 new medical office buildings by Mon General Hospital and expected to be complete by the end of 2015.
bout time! I swear, some of this stuff is just so simple it shoulda been easily done a long long time ago.....most cities across the nation would of dealt with this stuff accordingly ages ago......yet some around here think Morgantown is a blueprint/model for the nation.....Moderator cut: mocking removed

"Aman said the improvements would include regrading, burial of utilities...."
OMG it can be done. Now do that ***** downtown!
Not doing that along Beechurst was one of the most brain-dead decisions that was made when they redid the sidewalks and lights there. Even if it was going to cost more, save up and do it.

I didn't even think twice because I assumed the opportunity would be seized given the work being done. I guess the people in charge have no incentive to beautify.
How much you wanna bet that there won't be a single street lamp? Idk what people have against street lighting in this town, but it is ridiculous!
I'm okay with a lack of street lamps -- cannot stand all the pointless light pollution. People have headlights on their cars, why can't that be good enough?
the stretch of 705 from the roundabout to suncrest town centre is like being out in the boonies, dark as can be... no excuse for there not to be lights put in there....
The western end of Patterson Drive could use some lights, I've seen many close calls with students especially during the winter months when it gets dark earlier. The new intersection does help though.
