[quote=triplediomonds;2921662]Does anyone know what city in Mobile Alabama is nice with home prices not over $200.000 and crime rate is low and with a nice city nearby? My husband and i our in our late 40's and my nephew has accepted a job offer in Alabama and our house is up for sale and we were considering moving to Alabama were tired of the long cold weather and poor economy.

I am not sure how to answer your question but..
The area around Mobile is rather large and depends on what you are looking for in a town. Mobile is a beautiful city with lots of history. Traffic is bad in some areas. Mobile county is large with many little towns.

There is Baldwin county with several small towns. You have to cross Mobile Bay to get to Mobile. Traffic during rush hour is heavy.
Are you going to be working when you move? What commute time is acceptable? Do you want a newer house or a house in an established nabe?

The town of Saraland is about 15 miles north of Mobile. $200K will get you a very nice home there.
