Hey y'all i am finishing up welding school and was planning on taking a job with Huntington Ingalls in June. After touring the area i decided on Mobile as my best option for finding a solid bar scene, great food and Good looking women. I was just needing some insider information on what would be the best apartments to live in on the west side of Mobile kind of near the South Alabama campus? I thought cypress cove looked nice any other ideas?

Thanks

It's the oldest out of that list (mid 1980's), but maintained well and has a security gate.

If I could get the discount that would be the way to go. Most of the discounts were for apartments in Pascagoula and ocean springs. Thanks for the replies.

have you talked too anybody at ingalls or been on the companies website for jobs ?...ingalls usually make someone take a test to see if your welding is up to there standards but if its not they will recommend you apply as a HA welder or RA welder( 2 different levels of apprenticeship with 2 different pay ) ingalls have there own welding school in the training yard that you usually have to go through before you even get inside the shipyard..there is a reason ingalls is doing alot of hiring for all trades....im a RA shipfitter since october 2013 been in the shipyard the week before christmas.....

You can take the top two out of there...they have greatly gone down over the past 2 years with virtually no upkeep of any kind. A good bit of apartment complexes in Mobile are doing this. They are getting by with "minimum expenses" Plantations at Hillcrest, Regency Gates, Lenox Gates, The Arbors, Inverness...etc. Go to apartmentratings.com for more info.
