Decent article for once!

Is stainless going out? Yes and no. I preview about 20-30 homes each week - everything from extremely upscale to small dilapidated cottages. Also, I work with about 10-20 clients each week and talk with 30-40 prospective clients. I hear what they want and see how they live.

Why no? Home cooks are becoming more serious - and I think that's cultural. And a majority of my serious-cook clients want a kitchen that is reminiscient of a professional kitchen (i.e. stainless).

Why yes? Stainless requires moderate care. That, and stainless is beng replaced by pewters and antique bronzes. Its just my opinion, but I don't think that fad will last long.

Many of my clients are paying serious attention to the kitchen. More important than having a nice color range is having one that's high quality. My clients respond to that.

Otherwise, I've seen some absolutely beautiful homes lately with many of the features mentioned in the article.

Good link, Midwest456!
