Hello all! I've created a Google My Maps page where I'll be collecting locations where you can view/take pictures of skylines of Minnesotan cities. It's intended to be a sort of database where photographers, both casual and professional, can take pictures of skylines. Or maybe if you just wanna head outside with a pair of binoculars and see a cool view! You can find it here.

If anyone knows of any places to view Minnesotan skylines, comment them below and I'll add them to the map! Faraway views (3-4+ miles away) are preferred, but any location is welcome. I added some locations to sort of get the ball rolling.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I’m not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for but if you stand on the walking path on the Mendota Bridge you can turn around and see the the downtown skylines of Minneapolis and St. Paul and you can also catch a view of the airport.

I think coming into Duluth over Thompson Hill form the Hwy 35, especially at night, is very pretty.

Skyline parkway would be a great spot, along with Enger tower.

This is a great thread. There are many areas to take in the MPLS skyline.

Let me get to a few points first:

- The MPLS skyline is the best in the state, obviously.
- However, St. Paul, Rochester and Duluth all have decent skylines too. One could even argue St. Cloud.

If you're looking for good spots to check out Minneapolis' skyline, remember it's an east-to-west skyline, so it looks better from the north and south.

I live in Blaine and I can see the skyline in many places. Outside of Blaine, my favorite spot is perhaps on 280 where Minneapolis looks amazing to the west and St. Paul is glorious to the east.

County Road 11 in Burnsville offers an awesome view from 12 miles away. You can see the whole skyline of Minneapolis and U of M. It looks massive from that vantage point.

Coming from Superior into Duluth on the John A. Blatnik Bridge, looking at the city of Duluth, is in my opinion easily one of the top 5 views in the state. Especially at night, if the conditions are right, black sky, full of stars, no wind, the water below black as ink. The one on one reflections are outstanding.

ANOTHER top view is the city of Duluth viewed at night from Leif Erickson Park, with dark skies, stars, and Lake Superior.
OUTSTANDING.
