Good luck to you! I grew up in North Dakota. After several years in the heat and humidity of Texas I'm planning to move to Minnesota, probably Rochester, next spring.

Triple digit temperatures for months here in Texas have me yearning for cold weather. I had considered Rochester but after a lot of research have decided Minneapolis will be easier for me.

Way to exaggerate. You have to be pretty far north even within MN to get that cold. Minneapolis for example has a record low of -41. Now it did get to about -30 January 2019 but boo-hoo a few subzero days. Big deal. Most the winter is in the teens and twenties which is doable. Mountains of snow? I wish. February 2019 was an exceptional month but we still went most of that winter with ugly brown grass. Minnesota is also not that snowy outside the north shore. Try western Michigan or western New York if you want "mountains of snow."

I have had a car in Texas with no AC. Obviously I wouldn't want no heat in my car during a MN winter, but I would rather wait "40 minutes" (talk about exaggerating) for the heat to kick on, then be back down south with no working AC in my car.

Minneapolis is not a good choice right now 20% of police have claimed a PTSD health problem, info released today. It’s not the rioting now, it’s high crime due to lack of enforcement.

Look at the suburbs, people are moving out of Minneapolis right now.
