I would be careful with any tax revenue projections. California is collecting half of what they expected. Also, legalization didn’t mean that law enforcement costs will go away. An illegal market will continue as it does for any product which is heavily regulated or taxed, such as alcohol, tobacco, and firearms. Plus you have the additional costs of regulating and enforcing the legal marijuana market.

According to this article legalization proved beneficial to law enforcement.

My brother is a cop said he's all for it becoming legal, said he hasn't struggled or had to fight with people high on weed before.
