Has anyone gone to a pre Super Bowl event yet? The zip line across the Mississippi River, free concerts on Nicollet Mall or ESPN in the IDS Crystal Court? The Super Bowl committee has also included St. Paul. The Xcel Center had the introduction/interviews of the Eagles and Patriots players earlier this week. The Dave Matthews Band will perform in St. Paul on Saturday night. I read that Justin Timberlake (who will provide the halftime entertainment) and his wife, Minnesota native Jessica Biel have arrived and dined at Meritage in downtown St. Paul and also at Manny's in downtown Minneapolis.

There are the usual large number of rap and hip hop stars and I have heard of fewer than half of them. Jimmy Fallon will do his show at the Orpheum theater in downtown Minneapolis on Sunday night.

Hope that the game is close and entertaining. My prediction: Eagles 27, Patriots 24.

I don't like crowds LOL

I heard people are making a ton of money on renting out their homes or rooms though. But I don't want strangers in my house

Im taking the kids to superbowl experience Saturday. i was at Mall of america yesterday and saw so many personalities and football players. Stefon Diggs, Terry Bradshaw, Mark Ingram, John clayton, Jared Allen, etc.

As far as the hip hop concerts go, i wanna go but way too overpriced for my taste. $150 bucks. NO THANK YOU

I work downtown. All the employees have been working from home, and now the tourists are out. The employees walk in the skyways with no coat on, whereas the tourists walk the streets and skyways decked out for the next ice age. A very cool vibe. Volunteers helping answer questions are literally in every skyway corner, so as an outsider, if you are lost it's got to be your fault.

If you're still in the office at 4pm, the bass from the stages shakes the glass.

My neighbor works downtown and he and his office were at some of the doings. Might have been hard to pass up if you’re right there, but from the burbs I haven’t gone down there once.

Definitely understand. When the 49ers' Levi Stadium in Santa Clara (40 miles south of San Francisco; 10 miles north of San Jose) hosted the Super Bowl in 2016, I had considered going to some pre game events. I live about 70 miles south of Santa Clara. Then read and heard reports about traffic congestion/crowds and decided against it.
