I'm all for it, and the racino. They really need more up there, we have a cabin up by Chisholm and the area looks more depressing every time we go

I dunno. They built what used to be called Ironworld near Chisholm, thinking it would be a huge tourism draw, and it never really panned out. Although visitation used to be higher in the past, it has never been high. And it employs very few people, causing it to be more run down, leading to even fewer tourists, etc. It is hemoraging $ now.

My experience has been that most of the tourists who come up here are only interested in environmental tourism - hiking, canoeing, fishing, hunting, skiing, etc. etc. etc.

I think people in the state and region have too many other options in other locations for gambling for something like this to be successful. Don't know anything at all about racing, though, so I could be way off here.
