ummm, yes? Most Quaker meetings (in Minnesota) share a point of view that can be called "liberal" because of interests and concerns about social justice. Yes, in the South some Quaker congregations have been corrupted by the prevailing Southern Baptist point of view. But I don't think that's the case in Minnesota.

Check out Lanesboro, MN - I am not sure about the Quaker meetings, although they have a huge Amish population, so they are certainly religiously diverse - but they have everything else you are looking for and it is a nice little drive into the cities.

Lanesboro is really pretty much a tourist trap. However, it is a very scenic area and on my way from Lanesboro to La Crosse, WI, was the only time I'd ever seen the end of a rainbow. Unfortunately, by the time I grabbed my camera and got out of the car, it had disappeared and I checked where the end was and could not find a pot of gold.

New London MN is a very artsy town next to farmland and has a major bike trail running through it.
