what are the ages of people who go out to bars or clubs in uptown in minneapolis? Would I feel old if im 28?

There's a huge range. Remember it's a neighborhood, so you have the locals, too, who include the just-turned-21-set up to the retirees. Are you thinking of a specific place? Some places have a younger crowd than others. I haven't been to Cowboy Slim's, for example, but have heard it's more of a younger crowd. Then you have somewhere like Lucia's, which is on the total other end of the spectrum.

I would personally say that the bars (not many places that I would consider clubs in Uptown) in Uptown are generally more laid back and older-type vibe even if people are younger. I don't think you'll feel too old. Plus, 30 is the new 20 anyway... right? :-) As a personal thing, I avoid the Independent because I think the crowd is pretentious and the staff irritating. One of my fav's is Aura-- a little gem with great food and music.
