I am creating this post for people to share information and honest opinions about different schools.

The best private schools include but are not limited to Blake, SPA, Mounds Park Academy, etc. The best school districts include but are not limited to Minnetonka, Wayzata, Edina, EP etc. There are many religious schools, e.g., Breck. No matter they admit it or not, they require students to take yearly religion courses, the course load in different schools are roughly the same, some of them require weekly chapel time on top of that. Some schools are old-fashioned and very rigid with their curriculum. Some schools honor students' individual needs. Some schools have a more substantial admissions office including ones that do lots of online forum advertising because there is a need. Some schools are selective and not everyone can get in. Every school has its ups and downs, so information shared here and elsewhere can be time-sensitive.

Breck students are required, with a small portion of their time, to learn about all of the religions of the world. 20-30 years ago, the country club mentality private schools like Blake were a better option than they are today. Diversity and inclusion are front and center today, and I believe that students who understand different people's perspectives are at a very significant advantage. The religious teaching at Breck is not biased in any way, and it's not any more of a requirement than it was for me to take a course in religion at the top 10 college that I attended. I would never have supported Breck if the small religious component was biased on one direction or another. Breck is an outstanding school and a recommend that folks check it out!

I also strongly recommend that every reads your posts in the Blake or Breck School thread as they are - interesting....
