Starting a list.

7-Sigma, Inc.
Target - Lake Street store
Dahl Medical Supply
Haskell's Liquor Store

At Haskell’s liquor store Wednesday night, employees had to hide in the beer cooler as looters smashed the windows. Farrell says closing up the downtown store for good is the likely outcome following the looting.

And then there are local residents.

For the downtown dwellers who frequent these very businesses, Wednesday may have been the final straw.

"We did just re-sign our lease, but after that year is over, we’ll be leaving for sure,” said one downtown Minneapolis resident. "I mean, most likely nothing will happen but it’s not a pleasant experience to be looking over your shoulder and feeling anxious."

On deck is Greenway Chiropractic. The leftists don't believe the truth, so we'll let the business owners share their own words.

Chad Laux has run Greenway Chiropractic at 811 LaSalle for 17 years. He first lost customers to COVID-19, but Laux says downtown crime has made things worse.

“We’ve lost 6 people in this building already,” Laux said.

His first client Thursday cancelled, with a reason he’s heard far too often lately.

“She’s lived downtown for at least 10 years. She called me up and said, ‘Let me know when you move.’ She’s not coming. She lives about six blocks over. She’s not coming downtown anymore,” Laux said.

Laux says he’s been emailing Minneapolis City Council members for months about his concerns, but only Lisa Goodman has returned his emails. He says he had hoped to be downtown for 25 years, but he’s now looking into ways to get out of his lease.

Who in their right mind would want to live, work or own a business in that sad excuse for a town now?

Target will end up moving operations down south, you watch.

They'll expand their campus in Brooklyn Park if they stay.

If you want to make a big splash with social media, make sure it's sensational headlines.

When I lived in Minneapolis for 21 years (1972-1993) I was always puzzled as to why any of those Fortune 500 companies never left, for no other reason, a more favorable climate. And given their tax load, they're still there and they'll be there another 30 years or more.

3M, long ago, bought a big parcel of land in Sacramento as a potential relocation of their company, and? Aren't they still there in St. Paul? What happened? Got cold feet?

Since you so obviously have your finger on the pulse of the Twin Cities business community, I'm sure you know 3M opened a giant second campus in Austin TX in the late 80s and moved a number of their businesses there. 30+ years and counting that they got the hell out of Minnesota.

I said it before , the MN talent pool was one of a very few reasons keeping company’s around here. Now that talent pool is drying up fast and The kids coming out of college today are a liability to any business. $hit they don’t even know what bathroom to use and have been drip feed Marxist ideologies their entire collage career. Seems risky to hire this batch of kids coming up and I would imagine there are a better crop of kids in a state more welcoming (taxes) for companies . MN will lose some heavy hitters someday soon. Telecommunications will also make this decision easier For them. IMO.
