I am just thinking, what if it is revealed that there was some ulterior motive to why Derek Chauvin reacted the way he did? We know these two used to work together at a night club. And if we look at Mr. Floyd's police record, it is evident that he wasn't the model citizen, although he appeared to have cleaned up his life near the end.

Does anybody else feel like we are just getting fragments of what happened at this point? But, so many hastily jumped to the conclusion that this was a hate crime and started looting and burning down cities.

I don't justify what the cop did. Anytime you are a figure of authority, negative actions make the system look bad, no matter how many decent, respectable officers there are.

I just hope that during these trials, we discover what really happened. It just seems like there's much more to the story that we know at this point.

And wouldn't it suck, if it is revealed that Chauvin didn't kill Floyd because of the race but maybe one owed the other money or screwed him over in the past, or maybe they were both involved in some criminal activity together and one had dirt on the other? There are so many conspiracies floating around out there. I just don't believe it was simply a matter of Chauvin having a temper tantrum that day and wanted to extract his rage on the next black person he arrested.

Police have no right to serve as judge, jury, & executioner. Chauvin had Floyd under control and should have arrested him and taken him into custody.

You are 100% correct.

The thing is the police, apparently had him under control, then took him out the van.

But what I am saying is that, was it just happenstance that Chauvin and Floyd crossed paths that day? What was the store owner's involvement? What are the chances Chauvin had been looking to get Floyd for a while for other, non-race related reasons?

Yeah but guess what harpaint, chauvin did. He has free will like EVERY human and that day he made decisions that were bad, horrible, evil. This doesnt mean you PUNISH every other person in the city and the city itself due to the actions of one or a few. Thats ANYWHERE. People are held PERSONALLY accountable as they should be. Chauvin should have done as you mentioned but he didnt and nothing we can do can change that because people will inherently *** up and do evil no matter what and no amount of system change will ever alter that.

all these protestors act as if they dont have any sins on them. the self righteousness presented in the name of a man who was tragically murdered. its an indignity. whats happenings now isnt justice.

Have to wait for the trial and due process to see what really happened. There could be many factors changing everything, medical condition of Mr. Floyd, their connections to the Bar both he and the officer worked, drugs in Mr. Floyd's system, whether or not Mr. Floyd was complying with the arrest or passively resisting. These are all things Officer Chauvin's attorney many bring up.

And guess what MrM, I no where at no time said the protesters were without sin, and that is not the subject addressed her by the op anyway.
