errrr... a little off topic. But isnt it peculiar at all? That Derek Chavin and George Floyd worked together at the same bar???????? Why arent the news all over this? Could there very well be more to the story here? Maybe Chavin had to off him. Maybe Chavin was in on the counterfeit money? Maybe all 4 cops were???

Isnt it peculiar that this Floyd guy isnt an angel? Theft with a firearm? Drug charges? Known as having a "Violent Criminal History".

So essentially one thug killed another thug. hmmm

Oh and the guy in the car with floyd? Yea he fled, or should I say hitchhiked to houston. Because of outstanding warrants.

WTF reporters?

All this protest is crap and is really terrorism

It’s been reported. The both worked security at El Nuevo Rodeo on East Lake across from the 3rd Precinct. Chauvin was outside uniformed security and Floyd was inside plainclothes. There were a lot of security people there; the place was very popular. While it’s likely that they had met, it’s not likely they were work buds.

I've heard the stories about his past, and haven't paid much attention to them. The people spreading those stories are mainly conservatives angry about the protests, who want to smear the victim's name; and from people who believe strange conspiracy stories like "Michelle Obama is a man" and that victims of massacres like Sandy Hook were just actors.

Even if the stories were true, I think they said he already did his jail time for it, and has nothing to do with his death. So why would it be relevant?

Smearing a dead man's name won't do anything but bring further anguish to his family and loved ones. The cops would still be guilty.

So if Derek Chauvin goes to prison, will this be the first time in US history that a white cop has been found guilty of murdering an African American? Are we looking at a historic first with this?

Hardly. There have been a number of those. This came up with a quick search

Because everything you said either amounts to insignificant small details or wild conspiracy theories.

I have found the people who continue to justify what happened in any way have not watched the entire video with the sound on. Watching the little clips on the news does not give you the full picture. Watch the whole thing...even start with the one where they get Floyd out of the car and walk him across the street--then continue to the long video that the teenage bystander filmed. It's painful and should be required viewing before entering into any conversation on the topic.

I have a very vocal, political, racist relative who kept calling to see what was going on here. I told them not to call back until watching the full thing. They are still racist and political, but admitted that this was a murder (even if Floyd had his rap sheet printed on his shirt)
