Price you may expect to pay a plumber to install new toilet in upper room, assuming the flange is still good,
Plumber will buy and pickup the fixture. How much money would you expect to have to pay for the job?

I have no clue, but to make it easier, I'll guess a $200 toilet will cost you $400 to have plumber buy and transport. I'll also guess $200 in labor. $600 total....I really have no clue.

^this makes perfect sense...so double it and then add in another $100 for "shop items"

It varies depending on how badly they want the work sometimes. One guy quoted us 1200! We did it ourselves. If you do, be sure to use a new wax ring or it will leak around the base. It's not really hard if my husband and I did it!

It's a pretty easy plumbing thing to do. I'd talk to a few friends and see who could come over to do it. You'll provide the beer. If you're in an old house, just make sure your new stool fits as to the distance from the wall. You can get a decent toilet for around $ 250 dollars at your neighborhood Home Depot/Lowes/Menards/Discount Plumbing store. Warm the new wax ring, put it on and set the toilet down straight. The project should take only about a half hour.

Bingo. Probably the easiest of plumbing related activities. I've replaced 8 so far (home and rentals). A plumber will probably run you about $200 a toilet labor + 40 disposal cost. There "might" he a covid surcharge though.

The bolded part is key. Don't forget to turn the water off that goes to the toilet and back on again. That probably should go without saying but I've heard stories and even one from my neighbor
