Late 20s, single female: move to Twin Cities from Atlanta

Hm, I guess I'll just update after nearly two years here.

I'm thinking of moving back to my hometown.

The city has been fine for friendships and career. A lot of my friends are colleagues or friends of colleagues. The lack of any movement (or backwards movement) in my dating life sours this a whole lot. It seems my first relationship here was pretty typical of the relationships (and "involvements) I have had. Or the involvements. There is a distance that people have here, where it's hard to connect to them emotionally. We get along fine but it's all very surface level, I never know the true person. I haven't noticed the distance much platonically but definitely intimately.

It might seem like a flimsy reason but I'm only getting older and I'm not keen on the idea of wasting years and years.
