Today's crime is still an issue but it needs to be seen in that context. All this doom and gloom lacks perspective.
It is a different era than the 90s. Todays grit and grime have a different feel to it. A different substance to it with a different future than we had in the 90s. Today we, as a people, are much more divided than back then. Divided both racially and politically. Whatever our future brings it won't be the same as what the future brought back in the 90s because nothing ever changes the same in this world. I will say that we, the people, are headed into something that isn't going to be sweet and pretty. There are troubled times coming ahead.

Minneapolis Mayoral Candidates Take On Downtown Crime

Downtown crime, the $15 minimum wage and whether the city should make a bid for the new Amazon headquarters were all topics discussed by six of the candidates vying for Minneapolis mayor.

The discussion occurred Thursday afternoon during a mayoral candidate forum.
Downtown crime created some of the most vigorous debate following a summer during which 18 people were wounded in violence, with one fatality in a parking ramp.

You were only "jumped on" for making wildly inaccurate statements.

Wrong!

There are some bulllies on this St. Paul Minneapolis forum in which no one moderates. These arrogant self righteous bullies are running amuck.
Sad, really sad. It has ruined this part of the forum.
Some can have a mature disagreement and viewpoint. Bullies barge in and harass.
It is really odd, cause in the end it is just a forum to share knowledge, experience, and advice.
Some take it so personal and attack and bully. Sad too, do they have a life?

Interesting how the argumentive ones either made a snide remark to post #233 or ignored the facts that others are concerned for downtown Mpls in the article link I posted.
