Anyone Moving Out Of Minnesota? Why?

I assume you are referring to me with the relatively low crime statement. I know I said that on another thread. It in no way means I am accepting of illegal activity. It is simply that I am not naive enough to think I'm going to find a place with no violent crime at all. I live in an area that had 200 murders in 2012. That's one city, not the whole state. That doesn't include attempting murders, rapes, or assaults. We hear gun fire a couple times a week. And no, there is no where to hunt around here. Shootings are so frequent it is now a small insert in the middle of the newspaper. Unless it is a child or group shooting, then it makes the news. I suppose I have lived like this so long the thought of significantly less crime is exciting and gives me hope for my over protected children to have a normal childhood.

Yeh, this place has WAY less violence than 200 murders. It is improved a lot since the "Murderapolis" days when national gangs were trying to establish turf in Minneapolis.
