Hi! My four kids were suppose to spend today w/their dad but at the last minute they are all coming to my place & I haven't made plans to cook! Eeek! We have church @5pm, after that I'd like to take them to dinner somewhere... any suggestions. I tried calling Great Moon Buffet, but no one answered the phone. Maybe I'll try again.

You might check out Little Szechuan on University near Western. We have something of a tradition of getting Chinese take out on Christmas Eve and we are getting it there this year. They are open today and tomorrow.
Not a buffet, but we've been there and it's really good It's Szechuan - so a lot of it is spicy. They have Tofu and veggie dishes, not sure about strict veggie or vegan options (regarding sauces), but I'm sure you can find out. They have a website.

Peking Garden buffet in the strip mall off of University and Snelling was open a few years ago on Christmas. Don't ask how I know that. Mickey's Diner and St. Paul grill are also probably open. Call first though.
