Is it more scenic to drive to Lake Orion taking the route to Saginaw down to Lake Orion (north of Detroit) or would you advise taking the southern route through Lansing? Travel time is not a factor at all. any knowledge of that area, but we want to take the ferry across Lake Michigan and then drive to Lake Orion to visit my husband's sister.
