I wrote an article on several endangered species found in Michigan (it's like a hyperfocus for me.) I hope it's okay to share it here. I am wondering if anyone here has ever seen one.

Thank you for the great article and list warchildbosnia! I'm a huge advocate for conservation and hope to bring that love to Michigan. Its nice to see that species like the grey wolf are listed as least concern, though I hope to one day see then and other big game animals like moose and elk roam across the LP someday!

My only criticism is that I'd alter the part about the Massasagua to read something like "Michigan's only medically-significant venomous snake", as Michigan also has the eastern hognose, which is rear-fanged venomous, but not medically significant to humans. To add to that, garter and ribbon snakes are also venomous!

This is definitely a nitpick though, as I own multiple snakes and try my best to educate people about them.

Michigan's Endangered Species
Most, though except for the massasauga, not in MI. Many of these in WI.

Yeah, the people considering the duvernoy's gland "venomous" is a thing. It's splitting hairs. It's probably technically true, but quite different than crotalid or elapid venom glands.
