Yep, this is probably the case.

This is true. When I used to live in NC i wrote computer programs for insurance companies...We had a question in the program what do you use the car for and how far do you drive to work? Anything above 10 miles you get different rates. Also if you used the car for pleasure the rates were low.

As far as USAA straightshooter is right you have to be retired officer, retired enlisted personnel, be currently enlisted, or a spouse or child of one of the previously mentioned.

My sister and parents just got a quote from USAA, and Geico ended up being cheaper than USAA.

Liberty Mutual went up for me 35% this year, no change in driving record or anything! Time to shop for new insurance....or better yet, just move to the Beach and sell the car.

I've been with Progressive for years and haven't seen the 6 month increases. They have a loyalty rewards program.

We just recently and got a fifteen dollar discount for no accidents for six months. Did the plug in thingie and didn't get discounts that way, but in Miami there is no way you won't break on a dime with the crazy drivers around here

I remember that there was a huge popular outcry against the car insurance racket in Florida, so they came out with the PIP...It was the bare bones of a car insurance, but it was hard to process because those flim fla...excuse me, insurance agents, always said they did not have it.
