Flying from Miami to anywhere in Asia is a pain in the butt too... If you live in say Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle... it's easy to go back and forth. That also plays a role too. The lack of direct flights.

So I’m one of the few Jews in Miami who is not a black robe wearing Orthodox that doesn’t drive on weekends?...lol

Maybe you are a Miami Jew who attended Miami Dade public schools. The vast majority of Jews in Miami nowadays have their children in the very large Yeshivas. It is hard to believe a Jew as you say you are could live in Miami and not know this.

I'm sure you got an adequate education in the Miami-Dade public school system, but most Jews in Miami (evidenced by the number and size of Yeshivas) and I suspect most Asians would prefer their children attend better schools/systems.
