Do you have a particular appliance store or should I just go to a hardware store or big box store? I live downtown but am willing to travel. I'll need delivery and removal of my current refrigerator. I am looked for a basic stainless steel refrigerator or side by side. I tried Reddit but my post got deleted. I can't deal with their bots. Thank you.

I would choose Home Depot given poor experiences with Lowes. I would also recommend avoiding Samsung and LG given their documented repair/parts issues. Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, GE and a bargain buy like Amana are best to focus on.

Thanks. If you get one from Home Depot and have it delivered, will they remove your existing fridge?

Here in Gainesville, they did. We got a new frig from HD right as COVID lockdowns were starting and they were great.

Yeah, Home Depot with delivery seems like a good way to know. Appreciate it.

Yes they do, and insure the new one is installed properly with water line for the ice maker, etc.

Removal is included typically on purchases over $400 at Home Depot. Hook up charges apply to water lines for icemakers and is a negligible amount to existing connections behind the refrigerator. Under sink installs cost more but aren't outlandish.
