Miami has been chosen to host the final game of the 2024 Copa America soccer tournament at Hard Rock Stadium. Atlanta will get an opening round game.

Looks like Messi coming over might be paying added dividends and could this be a prelude to Hard Rock hosting late round/final games for the 2026 World Cup ??

I`ll be there for sure, the beauty of having clients and a robust porfolio means I'll be going to these games and not pay a dime lol.

On another note, I worked on some FIFA stuff in Canada (mainly Toronto, MTL before the gov't of Quebec pulled out cause of "French" reasons) Miami was marked for late round games and maybe even the final. Atlanta was the leader for the final, L.A second, Miami/Houston 3rd, I'm thinking Miami becomes first now. It would be odd for FIFA not to do this after Messi, their office opening in Miami + this.

Neither Miami nor Atlanta hosted the 2016 Copa America Games. In Atlanta’s case Mercedes Benz Stadium did not exist back then but I’m curious as to why Orlando (not THAT big a surprise) was chosen over Miami; was Hard Rock Stadium under renovation at that time??

I believe that Miami hosting the Copa finals is a premonition of the 2026 World Cup, in which Miami could possibly play host for the final games as well as a host city, especially since NY hosted the final games in the 1994 World Cup at the old Giants Stadium.
