A bit odd that my wife and I decided the same thing today as Bezos lol. Temporary move for us however.

He wants to be closer to his parents, which as a reminder to everyone on here to cherish your loved ones and spend time with them, I don't blame him at all for the move. I'm moving back temporarily to help my wife and be closer to her parents, both in their 90s but it's not looking good. I lost mine at a young age, so it's important to cherish those close to you.

I just got back from NY on Sunday. The streets were packed with people chanting kill the Jews. Special place.

My husband’s niece and her family live in Brooklyn. They are shocked to now learn that in their beautiful diverse neighborhood, they are hated.

He didn't move here only to be near his parents:

Another factor, he said, was that operations for his rocket company, Blue Origin, are increasingly shifting to Cape Canaveral, Fla., just over 200 miles by road north of Miami along the state’s Atlantic coast.

Hey, Bezos, don't let the door hit you in the butt when you leave now.

I think the part about moving to Florida to be near his parents was just a polite way of saying "good riddance" to Washington for its high taxes, crazy regulations, and high crime (even compared to Miami). These are the reasons for the mass exodus from blue states and the mass emigration to red states (of which Florida ranks first).
