When you pull the veil back, you see all the insane problems happening here. This + the article about population decreasing, glad people are finally seeing the *real* Miami.

This is a huge and serious issue. The amount of **** in the ocean and bay area this year has been insane, so much untreated sewage being spilled in there. Add all the rain and lack of proper infrastructure investments, this is a ticking timebomb.

Yes, there's poop everywhere and garbage filled streets. Never come here. Go to NY where the streets are clean and the subway never floods. Or better yet visit Toronto where you can get beat by a snake! That's a real problem! Snake beatings!!

Lol….better yet, move to America’s Finest City…..much cleaner and modern urban living than Brickell Avenue:

That article is such "trash". Like the homes in the wealthy Hamptons and Connecticut enclaves aren't on septic systems!!! LMAO! And they cite tiny Belle Meade Island as the epic center of the crisis where homes "go for $10 mm". Oh the horror! Hopefully those home owners can pay the $20k to connect to sewers. I wonder if they could afford it? Yes, Miami is facing growth problems and now they need to find solutions and those solutions will cost money as they do everywhere. All these articles keep citing the cost of Miami and that those that moved here might leave.... they moved here not because of cost; they moved here for clean streets, police and schools where they have a say in their kids education. LMAO.

NY swinging so hard and desperately at Miami. How are the Mets and Yankees doing in that great utopia?!

I still enjoy visiting NYC, though these days I am far more likely to stay in Williamsburg/Brooklyn than Manhattan.

Heck, I even go back to CA for an annual visit but I’m extremely selective where I stay and see (and smell) far less crap in our nicest (urban) sections than I do in their nicest (urban) sections. Suburbia is fine, but I get bored there (and here) easily.

I think that story is probably just a bunch of media crap trying to get some website hits and clicks. However, we visited Miami about 10 years ago and marked it off the list. Most likely, the only way we will ever find ourselves there again will be if we drive through on I95 without stopping to go to the Keys.

Well, to do that you'd have to drive about 50-60 miles south on Useless 1 to Key Largo from where I-95 dumps out onto this road just south of the Brickell area.
