Any scenic local rides you would recommend? For instance, I like the ride down to the Grove going south on Brickell Avenue past Vizcaya. Any other routes you would recommend?

  • all streets bordering on the Biltmore & Riviera golf courses in Coral Gables (gorgeous houses with immaculate yards)
  • Coral Way west of Miracle Mile (cool canopy of live oaks)
  • Old Cutler Road (majestic banyan trees)
  • Country Club Drive around Turnberry

I love those cathedral of oaks on Coral Way. Around the block from my house in Gainesville, the street is also lined with oaks and I often think of that section of Miami as I approach home.

One reason I recommend the Coral Gables Country Club neighborhood is because most of the beautiful houses are visible from the street. In many of Miami's other fine neighborhoods, houses are hidden behind hedges and walls.
