Vax rates, fast food/food trucks/ice cream/yogurt shops all need to be deleted as criteria!

That's how Miami/Orlando got on the list...........tourist trap with lots of fast food options.

"Percentage of Residents Who Are Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19: Double Weight (~5.00 Points)"

Now that's funny.

"Fully vaccinated". What does that even mean? You get vaxed and you still catch COVID. Nobody's "fully" anything. LOL

Totally agree.. These "Top Cities" lists must always be taken with a grain of salt -- especially when New York and (yes) Chicago are listed below any southern city for food. In NYC and Chicago, there's generally better food WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE of your house/apartment than in 98% of South Florida. Not saying there aren't great eats in Miami -- there are -- but a little sanity here is advised.

Hmm, a Best Foodie Cities List that doesn't have a Texas city on it (particularly Houston)? I say this list is child's play and not to be taken seriously.

Also, no way is Miami, Seattle, Portland, and Orlando ahead of NYC when it comes to food diversity and quality.

Definitely -- even NYC's Outer Boroughs are better, all things considered: restaurants, food shops (regular supermarkets and foodie shops), bakeries, etc.

Miami food scene is growing and maturing. I love Boia De! I think the owner is from Brooklyn. Very intimate neighborhood spot. Nondescript. Been open three years and won a Michelin Star. Pastis is opening in the spring in Wynwood. Others are coming. The momentum is in place. That said, Astoria Queens alone has more food diversity than Miami will offer in the next 10 years. But, that's ok. I love being part of this city and watching it grow and evolve. And of course, no winter. I pinch myself every day.

Funny, I take the subway to Astoria every 2 weeks just for food, so your comment is great. Do you miss NYC at all, or does the lack of winter in Miami cure any homesickness? It does get cold here -- I do hate NY winters, but there are far worse (Chicago).

Do not miss NY at all. Once they went into the lockdowns they lost me. I was born there, but always wanted to leave. Hate the cold weather and dirty streets. Worked in Midtown nearly 20 years. I love Miami and have zero homesickness. Miami feels more like home. I made great friends here too. The weather here in Miami is so perfect for me. And the beach. I love the beach.
