Mother's Lounge, Miami from the 1960's and 1970's? (Coral Gables: spring break, home)

Does anyone remember a place called Mother's Lounge, it was a bar (at least) maybe a restaurant in Miami near the airport in the late 1960's?

If someone does, was it part of a larger establishment, or did the name change at some point?

I know of two people who independently remember it, but for some reason I can't find anything about it anywhere in any type of Google search. My parents met there, if anyone remembers it, or by another name or anything at all, I'd appreciate the info.

Mother's was on 8th and Lejune....where Abraham/Auto Nation is now

...it's was an old 2 story frame house...converted to a bar...diagonally across the intersection from Uncle Tom's

I seem to recall another "Mother's" nightclub (perhaps up in Broward) I went to during spring break back in the late 70s but it could be my aging brain.

Hi, I went there back in the day, I was way too young to be there but was a singer & use to sit in with the band, both of the owners befriended me I was close to one of them after the bar closed we would go out to eat breakfast. then I would have them drop me supposedly a bus stop & when they were out of site i would go to a local gas station change from my bar clothes & walk a block to a private school I went to called Adelphi ( in Coral Gables ) then go home sleep change into night life clothes & a short black wig & hit a couple places I used to sing in. Sometimes my mom or her roommate would go with me then I got a car of my own & went all over on my own. I moved away from the area for a while & when I came back to that area the place had turned into a topless bar, at least 1 of the old owners was still there. (Stewart Rubin) He apparently passed away on his way to work one day from? heart attack, I heard one of his sons took it over but by that time I was off singing on the road & topless wasn't anything I was interested in anyway & my family had moved more north so I never went back.

I don't know if you got my message about mothers lounge- but just wanted to ask who your parents are- if you dont want to put it in public maybe there is a way to send a private message- it would be weird if I remembered them?

Mothers Lounge had rock bands then became a strip club, Aquarius Lounge. It had special one night onlys. It was the first to have a male dancer contest and the first to have the girls dancing to current bands( The Coins and Tar & the Nicotines).
