Moving to Miami, and have decided that Brickell is where I want to live. My budget is max 3800/month for a 2/2. Any buildings that you guys can recommend? I'd like to have nicely kept up amenities, and so far, the Icon is really nice, but out of my price range for the view I want, and The Plaza seems to fit the bill. Any others out there that I should see?
PS. apt needs to be pet friendly, as I have a frenchie.

Thanks!!

Anything else aside from Pet friendly and nicely kept amenities? a good portion in Brickell is like that. Access to I-95? near Metrorail? closest to Mary Brickell?

$3800 a month. Just find a realtor. Plenty will take you with that price range, and remember its zero cost to you.

Walking distance to MB village would be great. I'm working with a realtor that's taken me to older units that I really don't love. Is what I'm asking for just out of my price range?

In general, don't trust a Realtor's advice about walkability vs. "walking distance"--especially if it's a higher price range where most prospective tenants will have nice cars. They know the buildings, amenities, and market rental rates--that is their focus.

"Look, you can even walk to Walgreens!" never mind you have to cross a 8-lane high speed road with 4 foot sidewalks that are blocked by traffic signs and light posts, and the nearest crosswalk is a quarter mile out of your way and it takes 5 minutes to change... Not that you'll run in to these conditions anywhere near MBV, but nothing beats going out there on foot and getting familiar with the neighbourhood on foot, before meeting with the Realtor. Preferably do this on a Thursday or Friday evening when you have the dinner crowd and the residual rush hour traffic. There's quite a difference in walkability between east/west of Brickell Ave., north/south of 13th and 8th st (though City Center will help a lot for the latter one). In lower Brickell, you'll see mostly fitness and leisure walkers.

It is a bit disconcerting that a budget of $3800 for a Brickell 2/2 has such "limited" options nowadays!!! Then again, so many of the new buildings have lots of studios and 1/1's, so that second room and bath with a Brickell view really comes at a premium. You may want to look at some of the new, smaller apartments going up just west of the Metrorail tracks, or along the river or Biscayne up in downtown.

3800 should get you a nice 2/2
Plaza, Mark, Brickell 1050/1060 are nice.
Best kept building Brickell on the River North

Be sure to ask the parking arrangements (Icon valet is mandatory, Infinity no assigned space....) and check the apartment noise, as there is construction all over the area.
