figure it is a 50 mile run from Bimini to the US. You lose sight of everything at 20-25 miles out, run for a few more minutes and your destination outline will be visible. Obviously the US side is way easier to spot, Bimini has the new Hilton but its so far back I don't know if you see much of it from the ocean but you will see the red roofs of Bimini Sands condos. Ft Lauderdale condos at the inlet are very recognizable, I think they had red/white smokestacks in the port that were landmarks as well but I'm pretty sure they got torn down.

Here is a drone video shot in Bimini Sands, at the 1:30 mark you can't even see the Hilton and its less than a mile away

I was just also curious and that led me here. But after some research and geometry formulas, it turned out that on the ground(sea) level on Bimini Beach, you would see only items located 525 feet above ground level in Miami - that's because of the Earth's curvature. That means if there was no air you would see only half of the tallest Miami building - Panorama Tower from the Bimini beach. But as it was stated before due to atmosphere light absorption you lose sight much earlier.
