West is actually more pedestrian friendly than the east, and it is up there with Aventura.

It is up there with Aventura in terms of density as well. We've all seen the maps last year

Default An oldie but a goodie resurrected...

It would make a whole lot of sense to fully incorporate Kendall as a city in Miami-Dade County, and it that were to happen, then Kendall would be the largest city south of Miami. There's already mass transit connections to Miami via the Metrorail and the Metrorail can be extended from Dadeland all the way to Zoo Miami via FL 94 and rail ROW via FL 874, and another Metrorail extension via Dixie Hwy to Southland Mall. Tri Rail can also use the ROW for service from Miami Intermodal Center to Homestead via Kendall.

Kendall has about 16 sq. mi. of land, so building up Kendall with some mid-rises spread about in different parts of the city, and a few high rises within the proposed center of the city along Killian Pkwy would help boost the proposed city's population, as well as diversify Kendall's local economy. It already has two high schools, two hospitals, and a major retail center in Kendall.

While there will be city taxes, it's best for Kendall to incorporate because those taxes will stay within the city, as opposed to going directly to Miami-Dade County. Also, there's a particular location plus a name recognition with being incorporated, as opposed to just being known as "Miami" when Miami is basically further up northeast of Kendall. A few other communities around Kendall can incorporate, but since Kendall is the biggest CDP in Miami-Dade, it would make a lot of sense to become it's own city!

Why would anyone want highrises along Killian Parkway??? LOL!
It doesn't need an increase in population, and I'm pretty sure the residents are perfectly fine with the 80,000 people living there.
Dadeland exists for your mid/highrise glazing needs. And that's more than enough.
Throwing up tall buildings all over Kendall makes absolutely no sense. It is a community of mainly mid-upper class SFHs. Imagine destroying the place with a bunch of tall junk...
Please go drive through Kendall, and down Killian. I assure you your viewpoint would change.

Don’t know about Kendall but incorporating was a good move by Weston.

What are you doing in South FL following me??? I thought you was in Tampa Bay!!! My suggestions for mid-size and/or taller buildings within the city center was merely a suggestion if Kendall were to incorporate. You need to move back to Tampa Bay, bro!

Relax. I don’t live in Tampa Bay. I went to school there and conduct business there — all over the state for that matter.
I’m in South Florida.
Your suggestion makes no sense, and no one who knows Kendall would think it does.

Get over yourself. No one is following you lol
