That is vague, in regards to what?

If you are meaning basic living, then it goes plenty far, that is well above the average salary here. That is assuming no debt.

Yeah, that is pretty vague. Just wondering what type of neighborhood it would put me in. Debt is pretty minimal. Anything in a 25 mile radius is doable.

Single income, both could work if necessary. How about the areas surrounding Miami? According to Sperlings.com, to maitain my current equivalent salary living in Leisure City I would need $50,754, Miami would be $56,361. Purchasing a home is an option, as opposed to renting.

Where will you be working? You don't want to stay way on some opposite side.

This map of neighborhood quality by member cris444 is very useful for anyone planning to relocate:

Say $65k is gross, so you would be pulling in say around $3900 a month net, assuming taxes, insurance, etc. But to be on the low side, say you are pulling in $3500 a month.

$3500 a month will get you by very well in Miami. Say you are even forking out $2000 a month for rent, that is still $1500 discretionary spending. If a person cannot get by with that, then they just have poor financial management.

This of course if you have low debt, but you stated you have minimal debt. So minimal in my mind is the is less than 10% net, which puts it at $350 a month, which could be a car payment. That still leaves you at $1150 a month discretionary.

That is plenty of money to get by after expenses are paid, provided you have at least some sort of financial sense. Many people get by and enjoy their lives here on less. If you truly needed more money, then your significant other could work and even a $5k gain would have a significant impact.

On your map, you can afford many things, I would suggest you live as close to work as possible to cut commuting time and expense. But this needs to be in coordination with what school area you desire, quality, type of housing, and other costs that could mitigate any loss in commuting expenses.

A 25 mile radius is too simple, getting to/from some places could take twice as long though the distance is twice as short as to/from other places.

I have no idea of what planet youre living on but living on $3500 after taxes a month for three in Miami WILL NOT get you by very well in Miami. You are WAY off base here
