Brickell CitiCentre Complex - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ok, so just this week workers installed at least 3 very large signs on vacant lots located just one block North of Mary Brickell Village advertising Brickell Citi Centre............

So all I found online is this link anouncing the project was dead.....anyone know any news on this????

I would love to see this project take off..........but I don't believe Brickell can support it.....from what I understand the ocupancy rate for the Brickell area is somewhere around 65 to 70 percent. The majority of these people are renters...........which IMO is a good thing............young life to the area.............I just don't see how anyone can build more condos in Brickell when the Mint is still empty and I have heard the majority of Icon is still empty.............please feel free to correct...this is all hear say..........besides the fact that I know Mint is still empty....

mint is empty because the people refuse to sell at a low price, they are waiting for the prices to rebound, stupid if you ask me,

icon is selling, But wont lower its prices as much

this project would be good, its a mix use building, and will come with a plaza, which can help the area be more pedestrian friendly, its been on hold for 3 years

I know the land just changed hands, the previous owner WAY over paid for it. No idea what the signs are doing there, I wandered the same, or the large piles of rocks. God only knows what is going to happen. 600 Brickell Financial Center is still on hold, and there has been talk that Banco Santandar was going to build another massive building to replace thier existing one. Who knows,....just as, I have no idea what they are doing at 600 Brickell going up and down the construction elevators all day.

I was considering renting in the Brickell area myself.... Do you all who live there like it? I don't work in the area, but am looking for a nice community with walkablility. From what I've seen there isn't too much happening unless I've missed something... Any area with some night life and good stores close by? Maybe closer to downtown Miami? I wouldn't mind a high rise with a great view also, if anyone has any suggestions... My budget allows me up to $1,200 @ month (for a 1/1 in the area unless I'm dreaming). Thanks!

They are in a pickel. They owe the banks and unless the banks will accept less money they really cant afford to lower to much. will it rebound to where they need it to be? Ummm nope, but they can hope.
